Horizons of Lightness is an ongoing body of work grounded in a sustained reflection on lightness as a condition of being.
Lightness is not treated as luminosity or atmosphere, but as a shift in inner gravity – a movement from density toward openness. The horizon functions as a threshold: a line that separates and connects, where space begins to loosen and perception becomes less fixed.
Situated between abstraction and landscape, the paintings establish spatial conditions rather than depict places. Through restrained chromatic transitions and measured tonal intervals, colour subtly recalibrates the viewer’s sense of balance and orientation.
The series unfolds progressively, examining how minimal formal shifts can produce states of suspension and quiet expansion. Painting becomes a site of transition – where interior and exterior briefly converge.
